Over the course of time, Johanneshof evolved from the smithy and the agricultural estate on the Salzstraße, which were already mentioned in medieval records.
For centuries, our house was run as a farm. This also gave rise to the firm tradition of naming the first-born son Johannes, which has now reached the eighth generation.
Hence the name "Johanneshof". After welcoming vacation guests to the farm for many years, Johannes the VI and his wife Barbara took the next step towards becoming a spa and vacation hotel in 1986.
